Oak and pine school master's desk 46"x25"x49" circa 1860

Thought to have been made by a slave. Pegged mortis and tennon construction. Legs are actually carved and not turned, wood has large knots, hinges replaced five times, had to reassemble from pieces, made new drawer sides and one flap stay.
