Class description

This course covers the theoretical fundamental elements of furniture design, and equips students with the tools necessary to communicate design ideas to craftsmen. The creation schedule, ergonomics, building materials, and sources of inspiration are explored. Students will complete the course with their own measured drawing, a strong understanding of materials and methods of construction, and budgeted guidelines for the fabrication of custom furniture, cabinets, and built-ins.
